چکیده
Coupled multi-component $\mathbb{C}P^N$ models with V-shaped potentials are analyzed. It is shown that the model has solutions being combinations of compact Q-balls and Q-shells. The nature permits existence novel harbor-type having form sheltered by relation between energy $E$ Noether charge $Q$ discussed both analytically numerically. behaves as $E\sim |Q|^\alpha,~\alpha<1$, i.e., for standard Q-ball. Furthermore, ratio $E/Q$ various configurations in suggests at least classically stable.

From Q-Walls to Q-Balls
We study Q-ball type solitons in arbitrary spatial dimensions in the setting recently described by Kusenko, where the scalar field potential has a flat direction which rises much slower than φ. We find that the general formula for energy as a function of the charge is, Ed ∼ Q d in spatial dimension d. We show that the Hamiltonian governing the stability analysis of certain Q-wall configurations...
متن کاملCharge-swapping Q balls.
Q balls are nontopological solitonic solutions to a wide class of field theories that possess global symmetries. Here we show that in these same theories there also exists a tower of novel composite Q-ball solutions where, within one composite Q ball, positive and negative charges coexist and swap at a frequency lower than the natural frequency of an individual Q ball. These charge-swapping Q b...
متن کاملSmall Q balls
We develop an adequate description of non-topological solitons with a small charge, for which the thin-wall approximation is not valid. There is no classical lower limit on the charge of a stable Q-ball. We examine the parameters of these small-charge solitons and discuss the limits of applicability of the semilcassical approximation. ∗ email address: [email protected] Non-topological solito...
متن کاملNoncommutative Q - balls
We obtain Q-ball solutions in noncommutative scalar field theory with a global U(1) invariance. The Q-ball solutions are shown to be classically and quantum mechanically stable. We also find that “excited Q-ball” states exist for some class of scalar potentials, which are classically stable in the large noncommutativity limit.
متن کاملLarge Gauged Q Balls
We study Q-balls associated with local U(1) symmetries. Such Q-balls are expected to become unstable for large values of their charge because of the repulsion mediated by the gauge force. We consider the possibility that the repulsion is eliminated through the presence in the interior of the Q-ball of fermions with charge opposite to that of the scalar condensate. Another possibility is that tw...
